Spineless Congress....!!!

I really have very few things which I hate in this world. Current Indian Congress party is one of them. The party who has outsourced its presidency to some Italian mama is really hurting India. Some of you might be really angry with me for calling Sonia Gandhi like this but even after all these years I still think that she doesn’t consider herself as an Indian. I don’t have anything against Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi as they were born in India. But somehow Sonia Gandhi doesn’t strike a chord with my Indian heart. As she descended upon the Indian political scene in 1998, it might have been of a little good for warring congress lords but not for my mother India.
I have problem with Sonia Gandhi and there are many reasons behind it. First and most important one, she refused to take Indian citizenship till Sanjay Gandhi was alive on Indian political scene. I don’t have any affection with Gandhi clan but it took our current Congress Party president and super prime minister more than 10 years to take citizenship of India. Secondly she took her pilot husband Rajiv Gandhi out of India at the time of 1971 war with Pakistan. Officially no Indian pilot is allowed to go abroad in case of war with other country as pilots are needed for doing various jobs in war time. Thirdly, one of her best friend the infamous arms dealer Ottavio Quattorochi looted Indian tax payer’s money in Bofors gun case. She is still protecting that criminal by using CBI as her personal service guards in front of all of us. I would like to ask just one question what did Rahul do to have such privilege except being born to Rajiv and Sonia Gandhi? Rahul Gandhi is of approximately 40 years of age and still he is on the tour to discover India. Or what did Rajiv Gandhi do to become prime minister of India except being son of Indira Gandhi? The whole country is being offered to them on the plate. But anyways its their Karma and I don’t have much of the problem with that. I can just comment on my views although they may not be important for anyone.
Believe me this Nehru-Gandhi clan isnt doing any favor to India by just being here but they see this as opportunity to preside over fortunes of a billion plus Indian. Some people believe that Jawaharlal Nehru was the architect of this modern India and India’s stability as democracy owes much to him but I don’t agree with this statement as at that time there were many big stalwarts in India who were better suited for the job, specially Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel and after him Lal Bahadur Shashtri, Dr Rajendra Prasad and many others. What Nehru gave to India is what any one else would have given because others were not any less competent than him. In fact many of the burning problems in India today owes their origin entirely to Mr Nehru like Kashmir problem, the Tibetan issue, the north east militancy, border dispute with china, corrupt burocracy and non accountability of the public servants. I will just say little about all these problems and how Nehru was responsible for all this as every thing is available for everyone to read.

First and foremost the Kashmir dispute, there were more than 560 princely states in India at the time of independence. Sardar Patel took up the responsibility to merge all of them except one into independent India. Your guess is right again the only state he wasn’t given responsibility was Jammu and Kashmir and you know why? Because Jawaharlal Nehru was a kashmiri pandit and he took that in his hand. As you all Indians are seeing it now he messed it all up in such a fashion that even after 60 years we are not able to solve it. Nehru thought of himself so highly that he was out of his mind and practicality on crucial issues. He thought of himself as leader of international stature who was more interested in solving world problems than taking care of his newly built burning home. Instead of allowing Indian army to finish its job in taking over whole J&K from Pakistani attack, he took advice of Mountbatten and took the matter to United Nations. United Nations declared cease fire in 1948 and now you have got J&K controlled by China, Pakistan and India. He didn’t learn his lesson and messed up in case of Tibet. China attacked and annexed Tibet in 1950, which made Dalai Lama to flee from there and take shelter in India. He happily declared that he doesn’t have any problem with this and signed treaty with communist china in the name of Panchsheel principle in 1954. He had socialism in his mind and completely failed to see expansionist design of China. China attacked and humiliated India in 1962, and what Nehru and his than defense minister were doing? They were busy in proclaiming that India doesn’t even need an army and started using military equipment manufacturing units to make tractors. China still claims Arunachal Pradesh as its own territory, its crushing unarmed Tibet monks with bullets, its controlling India’s Aksai Chin in J&K, it has Mansarover area under its control which was traditionally part and parcel of Indian ethos for millennia, it supports Pakistan with missiles and nukes to threaten India and what our great Congress leaders headed by Sonia Gandhi are doing? They are busy in saving their government which survives on oxygen from pro China traitor communist parties in India.

Whatever good which still left in India is because the Government wasn’t aware of the actual situation like in Information technology otherwise you might be seeing Congress led government issuing dictates how much software a Infosys, Wipro or TCS can produce. Congress let India ruined and ignorant so that these Gandhis with their small handful sycophants can loot India for so long. Whosoever is saying that Sonia Gandhi has sacrificed anything for my motherland is doing a great mistake. Just think which thing is better: To rule over a billion plus population like an empress in modern times or to live a not so well known life in some small Italian Villa in Italy? I know Sonia Gandhi isnt that much of a fool to leave India and live in Italy, otherwise who will take care of the future of Prince Rahul Gandhi the prime minister in waiting? But that thing is only in the interest of the Nehru Gandhi family so what about rest of India? Rest of India has progressed despite so many hurdles and made its presence felt everywhere they have gone. I still wonder why it took a Dr Hargobinda Khurana , Dr Chandrashekhar or even a L N Mittal to leave India for winning Nobel Prize or creating the biggest steel industry on earth? The problem lies with the rulers who haven’t given ample opportunity to its citizen to do that progress from India. Why Indian migrant communities are so law abiding and successful everywhere else than India? Why a nation of over a billion people still havent been able to get a single Olympic gold medal in individual events? Why even after 60 years of independence people are dying out of hunger? Why after that so many villages don’t have electricity, hospital and clean drinking water? Why once world guru in learning havent been able to provide good primary education to its citizen? Why we still have corrupt officials ruling over the country? Why the honest and law abiding Indians always have to face problem while rich and crooked just get their ways? Why judiciaries take such a long time to declare verdicts? Why we don’t follow much of the traffic rules and see absence of accountability every where? There are many burning questions but most of the answers point their fingers at Congress party and its 50 years of rule on India.
You can say why I am not in politics to change things?
I always remember line from one of my favorite movi “Rang de Basanti”
“koi bhi desh perfect nahi hota..usse perfect banana padta hai..
police me bharti honge, milatery join karenge,IAS banenge..
Politics ka hissa bankar is desh ki sarkar chalayenge..
ye desh badlega hum badlenge...”
ya but reality is stranger than fiction…. Well you might have guessed it right till now that I am not a Gandhi to have it all. I am not even related to any politician, I am just a common man in India and being common is worse thing in India to enter into politics. Who created this culture of sycophancy in India? Your guess is right again its this Nehru-Gandhi clan which promoted it and still ruling India as if they have some divine rights. They never promoted inter party democracy in this democratic India.
So Whats the solution? Solution lies in realization of all young Indians to stand up against the injustice and create a society where every Indian can dream becoming a participant in shaping its destiny. All educated people should come out and vote rather than going on picnic on voting days. You get the government you deserve. We have to see beyond the obvious reasons of caste, creed, religion and community if we want our India to make progress.

Top 10 things the UPA Can Do to Turn Things Around

I have heard that a number of Indian commercial films are made without a fully written script. In other words, the script falls into place as the movie is made. The current anti-corruption saga seems to be unfolding in a very similar fashion, with the UPA in the director's seat. At the moment, the UPA seems to be completely clueless on how to end this film.

At every stage in this battle, Team Anna seems to be ahead of the game, and to make matters worse for the UPA, Team Anna clearly has tremendous public support that only seems to be growing by the minute. How can the UPA stem the rot? Having completely lost face multiple times in this battle, is there room for a comeback? The good news for the UPA is that the Opposition is still unable to take advantage of the situation.

Here are ten things the UPA could do to win back the hearts and minds of the people, pave the way for Rahul Gandhi, and set the Opposition on the back foot - a perfect happy ending after a lot of melodrama.

10. Form a new team (Team UPA) to take on Team Anna comprising of Rahul Gandhi, A.K. Antony, Jairam Ramesh, and one other individual. This person must have a good legal brain, must have excellent communication skills, and a relatively clean image. He or she should have what it takes to face up to the legal brains of the Bhushans. A.K. Antony is in for his honest image, Ramesh for his outspokenness, and Rahul for the Gandhi "topping" and to set the stage for his ascendancy to the throne.

9. Give this team a crash course on the ins and outs of Lokpal, starting from its history since 1968. (Sorry Rahul, some serious "mugga" is needed here.) Conduct mock discussions behind the scenes to ensure that the team is fully prepared.

8. Brainstorm and decide which of the remaining points of contention in the Lokpal bill you are willing to give in on and which are non-negotiable. Have very clear reasons, and be prepared to argue and present your case to the media and to the public at large.

7. Frequently communicate to the rank and file of the party about the official stance on the Lokpal. Inform all and sundry in the Congress party that they are forbidden to speak on Lokpal, especially if it's out of line with the party's stance. Dress up Manish Tewari and Digvijay Singh in women's clothing (a la Baba Ramdev) and pack them off to an unknown destination until this is anti-corruption saga is over.

6. Force the joint draft committee members from the government team to take a back seat. No more fake smiles and guarded, evasive, non-committal statements from the likes of Kapil Sibal and P. Chidambaram. This team is like the Indian batting order - it has been completely exposed. No matter how many Tests it plays under these conditions, it is unlikely to score any points with the public.

5. Swallow your pride and invite Team Anna for a discussion and telecast the proceedings live. This is reality TV at its best (or worst, depending on how you look at it), so make sure Team UPA knows its stuff and has done its homework. In return, insist on a commitment from Anna to end his fast.

4. Turn up the heat on the Opposition for being spineless, corrupt, missing in action, you name it.

3. Agree to withdraw the current Lokpal bill and table a new bill in Parliament based on the negotiations with Team Anna and inputs from anyone else who might be feeling left out of the discussion. Commit to initiating a serious debate in Parliament and challenge every Party to announce its position on the bill formally and in public.

2. Use your majority in Parliament to pass the new bill that has the blessings of Team Anna and others. Have a live press conference to claim all round victory.

1. Plan and execute on Manmohan Singh's retirement before he further damages his reputation.

Mumbai On the Footboard.....!!!!

Mumbai,a metropolis that requires no introduction. A place that ordains numerous things. It seizes your sleep, your thirst, your hunger and your comforts. They say the city never sleeps. I think everyone sleeps here barring their tranquility. And the repercussions of their sleepless nights are very much evident during the day.
The people sometimes lose control on their talks in an argument with a cab driver. Now the cab guy can’t say much to his customer (class issues, you see). The cab guy in that aggravation fights with some other commuter on account of some petty issues he wouldn’t mind disregarding in normal circumstances. These repercussions spread and by the time its noon you can witness a bedlam. Turmoil. An upheaval.
One that happens in the subconscious of the population One that can’t be sensed physically but witnessed in their associations. They are all human. Their flesh is the evidence of that. But Underneath that glossy skin, a beast resides. A frustrated brute. One that will snatch every opportunity to relieve its annoyance. Every day each of such persons experience this. They just never talk about this in public. They never even bother to think about it. As I said there are numerous other things to keep their brains uneasy enough to forbid them of a tranquilized sleep. They despise anyone and everyone they don’t know. They won’t mind anyone’s absence around them. And reason is very much obvious: They don’t like the crowded places. Mobbed trains, overfilled buses, trafficked highways, potholed roads, clustered streets, nauseating subways, packed sky walks, declining public transport and the reason behind every adjective in front every means of transport is People.People in disproportionate amounts.
All they see around is people. You step out of a major railway station and you’ll hear people talking about the next train they are going to alight.
Mujhe Kurla pakadni hai aaj Sali sab trains late hai…”.
And they run. They don’t look behind if someone’s already injured feet is been stamped by them. All they know is the local train and another local train to change after that. That place in that local train arriving at that particular time on that particular platform is so vital for them they won’t wait to apologize if they’ve caused any significant chaos is someone else’s activity. All they know and can see and can think about is that place in that train arriving at that particular time on that particular platform. They are so engrossed in that they don’t even realize they’ve lost their freedom. They don’t realize they’ve been controlled. They don’t realize they’ve turned themselves into slaves. Slaves of that job, that train, that family, of someone they themselves do not know even exists. You try telling them about it. Try soft talking them and they’ll consider you a Chutiya and run for that place in that particular train arriving at particular time at that partic…
They do not realize that the motive of their lives has no purpose to serve themselves but to serve the people around them.
As a matter of fact they have lost their lives.
Entirely.
And loss of someone else’s life won’t mean a great deal to them. So they cramp themselves up in that compartment. Regardless of any consequences. When it comes to trains, consequences are nothing but fatalities. Loss of limb/s or death. They are willing to take that risk for that place in that train arriving at that partic...
Enter Rishi.
Rishi wakes up gasping for the breath from a dream he saw. Its been happening to him since few days now. These nightmares have haunted him. He never discusses them. There’s a profound soreness in his mind. You ask him and all he does is display a blank straight face as if he is sure sharing anything with you is not going to serve any purpose. I asked him once and all he said was, “I hear a scream…..a long lasting painful scream.”
Rishi studies in a college at the south end of the city. He takes a 6:16 am local train from a station near his home for his college everyday and comes back through the same route. He is not accustomed to railways. He is Born and brought up in Mumbai. That doesn’t qualify him to be a commuter but makes him smart and aware of the city’s nature. Rishi usually stands on the footboard* of the railway doors. He does that because he finds it unpleasant to sit inside among the crowd and footboard is the best place to stand in the train. He regularly reads a warning which is printed in illegible fonts just above the door on the inside of the train.

“It is dangerous to travel on the footboard”
He tries to be as safe as possible in that dangerous act of travelling on the footboard. He knows it isn’t right to stand there. Something residing in him forces him to go ahead and stand there making him forget about the warning or any other thing. He continuously keeps reminding himself to hold the appropriate handles in appropriate way in order to prevent him from slipping off the train running at 100kmph.

                                                        23rd November

He finishes his chores and starts moving towards home. He takes a Virar bound fast local from Churchgate. Slaved by his usual practice he hangs on the door of the train adjusting his leg on the little space available among other legs.
The train moves. 60kmph in 7 secs.
And Rishi enjoys the Air hitting on his face and spectacles that are covering his eyes. The train passes Charni road(A western railway station towards the southern end of the city). His train gains the momentum again. A train is approaching on the next track. It has an equivalent momentum. Both the trains cross. Both at their peak speeds. Rishi realizes that and moves modestly inside in order to seek safety. The train on the next track is crowded. It is easy to make that out. As soon as Rishi moves a little inside something from the opposite train bangs on the part just behind the door he is standing.
‘THUD’.
Picture a heavy sac of vegetables falling off a radio tower. Look up and you see it falling exactly over your head. Close your eyes and feels its shadow getting bigger and wider as the sac comes closer falling on you. God’s hand. The sac swings a bit (physics involved) and falls just next you exploding its matter on your feet. Imagine the sound.
A harsh dying sound Rishi had ever heard. A thud, lead and followed by a terrifying frightening shriek.
Koi toh gira”, a man said.
Samne ke train se koi toh gira..”, someone else said.
There were whispers “koi gira..”
Mar gaya hoga..”
“Kyon darwaje pe latkte hai kya mallom”
Rishi was deadened and silent. The thud was ringing now in his ears.
A ‘keeeee’ sound echoing as if an explosion had taken place near his ears without harming him at all.
The next station arrived and the train halted. There were blood splatters on the back of his shirt. Pieces of skull and brain, some stuck, some dripping on the window near the door. The person sitting next to the window had yelled as the head of the man bashing on that window had exploded and splattered into his laps and shoulders. He was rushed out to get cleansed. Rishi sat on a chair at the platform watching the carnage. There were more talks.
“Body  toh track pe hi padi hai.”
Kya mallom ab kya karenge?.”
Itna bahar latkneka hi kyon??”
Rishi was astounded. ALL he could hear and sense was the ‘thud’ and the wetness of that bashed man’s blood on the back of his shirt. He called a close friend of his. A very close friend.
“Whenever I am travelling and if I happen to talk to you please ask me to stay away from the door. Yell at me…say anything that will prevent me from standing near the door of the trains.”
Days passed. Rishi’s memory about the incident faded. He jumped back to his old routine.
Trains.
Door.
Footboard.
                                                       8th Janauary

Rishi got in the Churchgate bound Virar fast local. Shoving himself out of the door and trying hard to be safe too simultaneously. The train comes to a halt. There is no platform on the either side of the train. It must be the signal. Or an accident. There’s a word spread
Kisi ne chain khichi??’
Now what is this supposed to mean. It comes to their knowledge that a guy from his train had fallen on the tracks next to his train’s and was rode over by Virar bound fast local. The gory images from the incident 2 months ago revolve in Rishi’s mind. He doesn’t want to get down but is been pushed out of the door on the tracks by people inside as they are eager to watch the incident. Rishi has to get down then Rishi jumps before he’s been pushed and moves towards the man. The man is shivering wildly. It is noticeable even from 10 meters away from the man. The guts of that man are all over the tracks. His legs and stomach distorted.
They said
"Uske pair par se gayi hai…"
Hna who toh dikh raha hai
He is lying all alone on those tracks. The train that crushed him had moved fast away. Conclusions regarding his state can be easily drawn. He’ll die in few moments. He is shrieking.
He needs help.
Desperate help.
The train from which Rishi had gotten down blows the siren. People whose curiosity had lead them there start running back towards the train. They start climbing in. The ailing man starts yelling loudly. He’s going to fucking die. Only a handful of passengers are left on those tracks including Rishi. There’s a lady who had climbed down the train. She vomits looking at the dying man. She’s apparently a lady constable. The man now yells involuntarily. As if yelling was the defense mechanism. People are just looking at the dying man. They don’t even offer water for they are too scared to step close to him. The scene was very disturbing. Blood, thick. Guts, convoluted. Limbs, amputated.
Rishi moves towards him. He looks into the man’s eyes and he senses something in it he had never seen and will never forget. The man was shit scared.
There are trains on the other tracks randomly moving around. Metal wheels making noise, sirens, the dying man’s screams. Rishi is too naïve and young to bear all of this. The man yells. More blood spills out of him and the man departs with a loud yell. A very unfamiliar scream. Rishi experienced what he had only heard ‘plea for a desperate help’. The man dies in front of Rishi, them. And they do nothing as they are helpless and are still wondering what is to be done.
People from the railways arrive and start working according to their protocol. Ambulance, ward boys, stretchers, all arrive. Spectators are asked to move away and fuck off.
On the way back to his home, Rishi calls the same friend again and tells her, “whenever I am travelling and if I happen to talk to you please ask me to stay away from the door. Yell at me…say anything that will prevent me from standing near the door of the trains.”
Few months have passed and Rishi is back on the tracks.
Trains.
Doors.
Footborads.

Air on his face and spectacles on his eyes. Trying and holding every possible handle and rod in order to seek safety. He just spoke to that friend of his. They both have forgotten the incidences and the message that was communicated after it. Rishi is happy of his travels. And he will remain like that until he witnesses another such incident, until he does not become the victim.
Rishi sometimes wakes up from the dreams, gasping for the breath. "All he hears is a long deafening scream".
P.S:-I have read this story in one of the Marathi Diwali Magzins.that story in my words.
